The History of Razrup

Born and Raised in the USA

picture_madeInUSAHello,

Glad you found our site! Here’s a little about our nifty little product. I would like to take a moment to share a bit about our product!

Razrup is the solution for an everyday problem that’s been in existence forever. So many people ask me how I came up with this idea and I tell them I can’t believe it’s taken me so long. I have been designing and creating all sorts of things from automotive interiors commercial space residential interiors to electronics, furniture, and everything in between.

The ability to design, fabricate, and create a solution for problems is something I have been intrigued by my whole life. Since I was a kid I have been in the garage tinkering with whatever I could get my hands on; building and creating from whatever was lying around. Improvising has been a passion of mine for as long as I could remember. Tinkering is my meditation.

Fast forward 40 years … I’m in the shower shaving and always hated having to place my razor on the tub ledge or even worse placing it on a rusty metal caddy. I would  balance it in the top of the can when I was done shaving. That worked for some time until I started sharing the shower with others and finding my razor at bottom of the tub wet and not to be used by me again, yuck!

I like neat and I like clean, the same goes for my razor. So I thought, why not store it with my shaving cream once I was done shaving? To the garage I went looking around for a solution and material I could use to fabricate something to solve my problem.

It didn’t take long before I had what I like to call a “light bulb moment”,  the razor should hang from the can, be easy to remove, allow for quick detach and attach to the new can once the shaving cream was finished. That’s how Razrup was born.

I am a strong believer that the backbone of a great company is quality and functionality at an affordable price.

I am also extremely proud to be able to say our product is made in the USA

P.S To this day I still use my handmade prototype that you would have thought was machine made.
